Welcome Parents to The Play Pod!

At The Play Pod, I understand the importance of providing a safe and secure environment for your child's therapy needs.

As Parents/Carers of children needing therapy I can emphasise with coming to terms of what emotions this may bring. I will aim to support you on this journey together.

A Strength and Difficult Questionnaire (SDQ) is completed to highlight your child's interactions with five main areas: pro social, hyperactivity, emotional, conduct and peer interactions. This SDQ will also be completed at mid review on week 8 and at the end of your child's therapeutic journey.

An initial parent conversation would also be arranged to discuss your child's background, timeline of events from pregnancy to birth and beyond and answer any questions you may have.

A service level agreement will be issued prior to sessions commencing.

Therapeutic Stages in Play Therapy

Below is a diagram that illustrates suggested stages that children may go through on their therapeutic journey. Every child's therapuetic journey is unique and individual to them.

I would be happy to explore this further with you.
